Can 10 Pitbulls take on a male lion, or would the lion slaughter them all with likely many injuries? (possibly life threatening.)

Ten pitbulls you say? I'm going to say  I don't like to use Wikipedia when it doesn't cite a source, but male pitbulls are supposedly 16-27kg, the mean of that being 21.5kg. A lion is what? ~190kg? I'm doubting the pitbulls are big enough so that even ten will really be enough to be that big of a threat to a lion. I feel as if backing the lion is the "safe" (if not much more) option. |

While the pitbulls are probably not as tough and endurant as some people claim, they are still going to be quite a match for the lion, but can they kill it? My knowledge on domestic animals is terrible, but I feel like you'd need around of 15 pitbulls to take down a lion.

I hardly know jackshit on domestic animals too, but yeah, I just feel as if the lion's still too much for even ten pitbulls.

Most hunting dogs tend to have a pack mentality. Honestly I can see the dogs winning. Half of them would be attacking the flank, and the other half would be attacking the front. That's 5 dogs attacking the lion' face, neck, forearms, and shoulders, while the ones behind would be attacking the lion's flank, back legs, testicles, and possibly attack the back. Now if these were just random dogs that were selected, then I can see the lion winning, and whether the dogs are fighting as a large unit or not, a paw swipe from a lion can shatter the back or neck of these dogs. Don't forget the agility that's on the lion's side, and it would be constantly moving, swatting, and biting.
I give it to the lion 55/45.

Edit: nevermind, I agree with malick6, the lion wins more often, but the pitbulls have a god chance.

intresting fight , but i think that a lion would beat 10 pitbulls , since lions have been known to kill entire hyena packs which are far stronger than any group of dogs .
