If someone did not notice, the abstracts for the 2013 SVP meeting were uploaded: vertpaleo.org/PDFS/88/887c249a-e0b1-46ee-8393-221f0574c8a3.pdfAs there are a lot of pages, here a short summary of some of the most interesting discoveries: An Ornithopod with stage 3 feathers (yes, only Coelurosaurs were feathered... lol. I actually knew this from a Russian Newspaper posted on the DML beforehand.) Carcharodon hubelli is most likely only a sister species to C. Carcharias. The evolutionary history and dispersion of tyrannosaurines is very complex( including two new species and 1 new genera, only like 6 to go) Two new specimens of Deinocheirus, making it nearly complete. Body size increase over time in C./O. megalodon. Fossil Camel from Ellesmere Island. Giant(this time, apparently real, not Ekrixinatosaurus "Giant") Abelisaurid from the uppermost Cretaceous.(Well, there you go, reduced dinosaur diversity). Basilosaurus biteforce. New look for Andresarchus.(also seems to support my view that hippos are practically the aquatic dachshund form of Entelodonts) Great cryptic diversity in Morrison Diplodocoideans. And much more.

Finally basilosaurus biteforces. <= 20 000 N: Not terribly dramatic, after size is considered.
