it is Apatosaurus louisae. Tschopp, E., Mateus, O. and Benson, R.B. 2015. A specimen-level phylogenetic analysis and taxonomic revision of Diplodocidae (Dinosauria, Sauropoda). PeerJ 3: e857. doi.org/10.7717/peerj.857

Alright, rescaled it. CM 9380 Tyrannosaurus rex (11.9 meters, 7.5 tonnes) vs OMNH 1670 Apatosaurus (28 meters and ~52 tonnes based on this GDI). Bear in mind the estimated adult OMNH 1670 would be about twice as big. Skeletals are by Hartman; I suggest ignoring the apatosaur scalebar as I've upsized it to 20% more than what the scalebar says

This size comparison showcases the disparity in robusticity between Diplodocus and Apatosaurus quite well. On top is the Diplodocus specimen attributed to 'Seismosaurus', 34 meters TL and 20 tonnes. On the bottom is CM 3018 Apatosaurus, 23 meters TL and AT LEAST 22 tonnes. Both skeletals are by Hartman

Daeodon vs Megaraptor, holotypes of both. Daeodon is 1.8 meters SH and 800-900 kg, while Megaraptor is 8 meters TL and 1-2 tonnes based on relatives. Daeodon is by Blaze while I used Wikimedia Commons Murusraptor skeletal as a stand-in for Megaraptor. Scalebar (on bottom right) is 1 meter

I'd just like to point out that this forum is nearing its storage limit for attachments. Since many of them are here, what are we going to do with the old size comparisons?

Attachments only? Could we convert many of them to proper full-sized images?

I'll go back and delete the attachments, then edit the post with a link to the new, non-attachment chart

CM 9380 Tyrannosaurus rex (11.9 meters, 7.5 tonnes) vs adult estimate for OMNH 1670 (~35 meters and ~100 tonnes scaling up). Skeletals by Hartman; I advise ignoring the Apatosaurus scalebar as I scaled the animal up 50%

And for that matter, does deleting screenshots lower the number we have?

Here's what the admin panel just told me: "Your forum is nearing its storage limit for attachments (99% full)."

Crap.
Does it say deleting them would decrease the amount we have?

I would presume so, since when I delete an attachment the file it gone not just from the post, but from the url it was previously found under as well. So presumably, it is deleted from the server. Anything you uploaded as an attachment. It would definitely be good to have a bit of spare attachment space left for stuff like spreadsheets and other content we want to archive reliably (so not just any odd image we want to share, but stuff we want to make sure stay with the post for a long time, e.g. in the profiles or animal sizes thread). To this end, I suggest comparisons uploaded as attachments here that we don’t need/that are inaccurate anyway etc. should be deleted. I’ll go through old posts of mine and delete unnecessary attachments when I have the time, but I think the bulk of space is taken up by stuff in this thread. Also, I know I don’t always do this either, but when uploading attachments where there was no gain from doing so, we shouldn’t use png. E.g. this attachment is 302 KB, but the jpeg version of the same image is only 63 KB. theworldofanimals.proboards.com/attachment/download/893

Don't worry, excessive attachments will be deleted and I'll redirect to the appropriate page

I'm not sure. Maybe we can try and see if I still see the "Your forum is nearing its storage limit for attachments (99% full)" message in the admin panel. I currently do. Deleting the inaccurate old size comparisons (of which we have plenty) would be a good start, indeed.
