creature386 Yeah I guess most adults find Barney boring (can’t judge, never watched it), but that’s not really valid criticism of a children’s show either, is it?

As for dinosaur shows I found bad purely from an entertainment standpoint, there's Dinosaur King. For those not aware of it, it's basically a combination of Pokemon and Jurassic Park.
I watched this a few time in elementary school, but it never really caught my interest. It is too long ago to remember exactly why I found it boring, but perhaps it was the lack of novelty (as noted above, it's just Pokemon with dinosaurs).
The show is surprisingly well-researched (if we ignore for a while that dinosaurs didn't have superpowers). The maniraptorans are feathered and the show features dinosaurs as obscure as Saichania, Altirhinus, Fukuisaurus, Piatnitzkysaurus or Anchiceratops (among others). The only problem is that the only people who are gonna be impressed by this are put off by the ridiculous premise of dinosaurs being used as mons who beat up each other. Well, maybe it helps to turn at least some people who are interested in that type of show into fledgling dinosaur nerds.

Yes, the premise is every bit as ridiculous as it sounds.

Like the show is horrible and ridiculous but by some bizarre accident of fate, it's well researched in some areas. The juxtaposition tickled my funny bone, and I can see why it particularly annoyed you.

^Yes, I agree. Normally you'd expect a show like that to be more along the lines of Pikachu and T rex, or, say, Charizard and Jurassic Park Velociraptors, but researching the dinosaurs that well for a show like that is rather perplexing IMO.
*I understand this may not be the easiest sentence to understand, so here's what it means: Why have a show as well researched as that if it's just Pokemon and Jurassic Park? Seems a bit silly to me.

Yep, that was misunderstood. Thanks for clarifying.
