I just found this, while researching for stuff on Amphicoelias fragilimus www.dinosauriainternational.com/downloads/Brontodiplo_2011.pdfNo idea why I so long haven't noticed this. Unfortunately, there is nothing on the species A. fragilimus, but at least a lot on the genus (for example the paper talks about how it looked and possible sexual dimorphism). They also redescribed A. altus. Unfortunately, there is nothing for the fans of A. fragilimus. It is still easily enough for an Amphicoelias profile (with paleobiology section).

From what I've read, that paper lumps every single sauropod taxon of the Morrison formation into A. altus and erects a new species. Not every, only diplodocoids, and also some not-Morrison taxa like Tornieria.

I now looked it up on SVPOW and the discovery seems to be nevertheless quite spectacular. But yeah, the conclusions were quite stupid (I was a bit skeptical when I read that first, thanks for now showing that it is definitely wrong).

Again a maxilla? Anyway, a 10 m giant sounds awesome! And this time, it also sounds pretty realistic.

On carnivora, I assumed that this paper will get a lot of attention. At the moment, Holtz diligently posts tweets related to it, so I think my forecast is realistic.

That’s interesting. In some regional and temporal ranges there seems to be a bias towards large ichnofossils, in others a bias against them.

Thanks to Infinity Blade for the quick profile (in fact, it was here long before the above post). P.S. I feel like this thread should be a lot longer. In some other boards, news/update threads like this one are some hundred pages long.
