Green anaconda - Eunectes murinus

Since our profile contains no dietary data, I figured I'd post some that I've recently posted elsewhere

Of course the relevance of this is the small part on green anaconda stomach contents, containing a juvenile bos taurus and two domestic dogs as well. Livestock depredation isn't exactly unheard of in large snakes, but predation on cattle(even young animals) is not something you read of every day.

From the mid 90's comes this research from Rivas, a health assessment on a small sample of adult green anacondas; giving us an insight to blood biochemical levels, injury to animals in the sample size, and even parasites of free ranging animals. a few screenshots:

Here's a report about a 14ft, 202lb, adult anaconda that killed and ate an adult female cougar (99lb) here in Brazil. The snake was found almost dead and died minutes latter due to multiple infections caused by the injuries inflicted by the cougar.

This anaconda would weigh ~50+kg with an empty stomach(the aforementioned 94kg figure includes the cougar), not much larger than its feline prey.
