I have never said I would favor the rhino in the water, I just said that 10/10 is a stretch. We all know how this would end in the waterÂ…

10/10 in water sounds like an exaggeration, after all hippos walk more in the wate rthan they swim. Therefore I doubt it would have a manuverability advantage what would justify a 10/10. 10/10 is always an exaggeration, it just can't happen. Too many variables, even including quantum fluctuations. Key word is infinitesimal probabilities. If you pit a small cow against a large freak Tyrannosaurus rex, and then went on rematches of the fight from the time of the big bang until the heat death of the universe, the small cow would have won a number of victories. As for the fight, I favor the rhinoceros, about ~63-68% imo

On land, rhino wins. Even if a hippo manages to bite the rhino's head when it charges, it will still be skewered.

Hippos are pretty strong, man. I don't know. Rhino looks slightly stronger but hippos are underrated.

I never really understood this particular battle. I think it's pretty obvious that the rhino wins this. Mainly due to its horn. Sure the hippo can bite and all, but the rhino has a literal sword on its head. A charging rhino would gore a hippo of any size, causing massive blood loss and shock. In the water, that goes without question. I don't care how aggressive the hippo is. Aggression can be both an advantage or a disadvantage. An aggressive mouse would die against a cat way more if it tried to fight back than a mouse that would rather run away from a cat. A charging hippo is a dead hippo against an angry rhino that's horn would go right through its body. God forbid if the hippo's mouth was open when the rhino struck it.

White rhinoceros wins on land, hippo wins in deep water. Shallow water, edge to hippo, but could go either way.
