Since creature liked my post, I will post my somewhat edited version in a spoiler. Feel free to tell me which you prefer.
Name: Renaissance Man (by a few of Earth's residents); real name Sir Flint Walter Manny
Age: 20 years
Gender: Male
Species: Saiyan♂ x Kryptonian♀
Size: 1.65 m tall
Weight: 63.5 kg
Appearance: Young humanoid man. Black hair that is spiky at the front but has
pageboy cut-> (turns gold and becomes increasingly longer with Super Saiyan forms). Muscular. Looks like
this->, but instead wears dress akin to that of a
Pontificial Swiss Guard-> (sometimes he can be seen with
a breastplate, segmented pauldrons, and a plumed morion helmet->). Has a special solar radiation-absorbing suit of armor that resembles
this-> (the area around the mouth can open up to allow for the use of super breath and ki blasts). Still has monkey tail for Great Ape transformation and as an effective fifth limb.
Backstory: Analysis of Renaissance Man's DNA shows that he was born to an unknown Kryptonian mother and Saiyan father from a dimension completely different from that of Ealvdiem, the futuristic, medieval/Renaissance fantasy planet he inhabits. Of course, the inhabitants of said planet aren’t familiar with either species, and just classified his parents’ species according to the powers that they were deduced to possess. He ended up being kidnapped from his parents shortly after birth, and a series of thefts and trades of the infant boy and his space pod resulted in his transportation to the planet he would later call home. The space pod he arrived in was severely damaged upon entry to the planet, but it revealed that three of the letters of the planet the pod came from are “E-rt-” before shutting down completely due to damage. He was discovered and initially raised in a village within the Kingdom of Lengdan. This village was guarded by a heroic knightly order that aims to rid their planet and their galaxy of evil. Here he was given his Ealvdiem name Flint Walter Manny by his peasant parents. His village was the subject of nigh perpetual warfare with anything from hostile local tribes to even rival countries (e.g. the kingdoms of Stolcdan or Nafrec). As such, Flint would find himself caught up in constant training and combat to become a member of the knightly order that protected his village. Had Flint grown up with his biological parents, he would certainly have been hailed and feared as an extraordinarily powerful being, given his Kryptonian and Saiyan heritage. On the planet he inhabits, he is much more powerful than he most likely would have ended up being otherwise. But amongst the extraordinarily powerful monarchs, warlords, warriors, and other beings and creatures on his planet, he was nothing special. In fact, for all his latent power he was noted for being relatively weak at an early age, his academic prowess in his studies (the knights expect good warriors to be highly intelligent and educated as well) being seen as his only saving grace. This prompted much vicious mockery and derision from many of the people he was surrounded by. The near constant warfare, the intense pressure to be a powerful warrior and a well-educated person, and the harsh jeering from his peers led Flint to develop a ruthless personality. After much training, fighting, killing, and learning, he eventually became respected and powerful enough to be knighted and become one of the king’s top henchmen.
Recently, some people from another dimension (claiming to be from a planet called "Earth") have somehow ended up in Ealvdiem. Having noted Flint's myriad of superpowers, knowledge in numerous different martial arts, great intelligence, and his cultural background, they dubbed him "Renaissance Man". These people were summarily locked in his dungeon after they began inquiring about Flint's true origins and went on about his similarities to certain superheroes on their own planet. Flint ignored these and hasn't given much thought to them afterwards.
Personality:- Knows nothing of either his Saiyan or Kryptonian heritage, having been kidnapped from his biological parents shortly after birth and having no access to technology that would have explained it to him (as was the case for Superman). However, he is aware of the immense power he wields and how most of his powers work (barring his weakness to kryptonite).
- Retains Saiyan love for fighting and Kryptonian intellect. By a certain point, however, he is less willing to make a decision that could severely jeopardize his goals for the sake of a good fight.
- Has a chip on his shoulder as a result of all the mockery and bullying he received for his initial weakness. He is willing to go to great lengths, even cross (our) moral boundaries, to prove he is fit for his role as a knight and as the king’s bodyguard.
- Does have a sense of heroism and ridding his world of the evil monarchs, warlords, and other rulers that plague his planet, but grew up under the influence of a harsh, medieval/Renaissance culture with much lower moral standards than 21st century Earth. As such, he has no problem with (in fact, fully advocates) barbaric practices against enemies (e.g. torture), and therefore has a very twisted sense of justice. Is willing to harm or kill even innocents if they happen to cross him or to spite his enemies (e.g. loved ones of enemy soldiers).
- Has something of a penchant for using his mouth as a weapon when fighting without weapons or armor, often in a manner similar to that of a ferocious wild animal.
- Being Lengdanish in citizenship, he harbors deep prejudice towards the Rileish. He believes Riledan's inhabitants to be uncivilized, filthy barbarians, and his war crimes towards the Rileish are especially heinous; no quarter is given to
anyone, even those that might otherwise be considered innocent bystanders.
- While he is abhorred by the suffering of innocents (at least those who do not get in his way), he takes great pleasure in witnessing or learning of the suffering of his enemies. Seeing captured enemies from war or political opponents being tortured brings him great joy.
- Easily frustrated, stressed, and angered. May subsequently hold some regrets for impulsive actions, but other times may not.
- Renaissance Man's harsh, stressful lifestyle has led him to find appreciation in the visual arts, some forms of music, and luxury. He also enjoys hunting, although, more than a few times, a hunting excursion has turned stressful and/or dangerous.
- Sometimes uses more than necessary to kill foes or continuing to attack the remains of enemies he had already killed. He justifies this as making sure that his opponent has indeed died. However, sometimes his “overkilling” has no practical effect and is solely for catharsis; he has been known to take any disintegrated remains of those he has vaporized to death and furiously burn those several times over. If he can find nothing, then he will burn and vaporize his victim’s possessions or any trace of their memory. If he can find neither, then he will simply blast where his victim last stood before they died.
- Despite not needing to eat or drink to survive, he enjoys various drinks and, being half Saiyan, loves to eat. Because he lives in a pre-industrial society where people still starve to death and can eat enormous quantities of food in one sitting that he technically does not need, he is usually not allowed to eat food. As such, gifting him with a good piece of food or massive meal will overjoy Renaissance Man and get one on his good side.
- After observing bacteria via his microscopic vision, he has a modified, though not fully correct, view on disease. In one of his letters to the king he writes (spelling converted to modern English): "
For you see, my liege, my microscopic vision hath uncovered an astonishing revelation. After examining the soft tissues of a wretch infected with the pox, I noticed that within these tissues were small particles. In fact, these particles are somewhat more complex than meets the eye, having their own structures inside of them. While the wench infested with pox had these particles living within her, her daughter, who was with her and must have been exposed to the same miasmas, did not have quite the same ones within her. I suspect, therefore, that miasmas carry these particles, and that it is they that actually cause harm to the body.".
Crimes:- Mass slaughter of several villages, cities, and other establishments, including both legitimate enemies and innocent people.
- He has made shallow ventures into other planets, but has not found any native inhabitants. In fact, there were sapient inhabitants of those planets, but have somehow gone undetected by Renaissance Man. Unfortunately, he unknowingly spread diseases to these aliens and managed to kill the vast majority of them off before either of them even heard of each other (this is arguably the crime for which he is least morally culpable).
- Tortures enemies; methods can include anything such as crushing people between rocks with his vast strength, use of a rack-like machine, scaphism, the scavenger's daughter, or use of a Judas cradle-like instrument, etc. Gives out cruel punishments such as impalement of the anus or vagina with massive, sharp wooden stakes (a la Vlad the Impaler), skinning victims alive with blunt tools and then dumping their muscle-exposed bodies in acid and/or boiling oil, or burning them at the stake. His favorite method of execution is hanging, drawing, and quartering. His second favorite method is burning at the stake and vaporizing/disintegrating people alive with his heat vision and ki blasts.
- Renaissance Man was once involved in a siege where he captured the captain of the opposing army and the captain’s sister, who was living in the city and had no involvement. On multiple occasions he forced the two to fornicate with each other against their own wills as punishment, before both died under the deplorable conditions of Renaissance Man's dungeon. There is very strong evidence suggesting he used this form of punishment against other people as well.
- He also utilizes less visually obvious physical forms of punishment. This can include things from rewiring nerves and pain receptors such that every sense of touch to the victim’s body is one of excruciating pain, to destroying/disabling serotonin and dopamine receptors (such that victims are no longer able to feel any pleasure or enjoyment from anything).
- Captures those he finds useful for his goals and brainwashes them to his cause.
Future directions: Renaissance Man recently discovered a solar system where the inhabitants live much like native Americans. He in particular discovered an Aztec-like civilization in one region. Although he has not done anything there yet, he plans to invade the planet and take its treasures for the crown and himself.
Vileness: High. While his primary goal in life is to rid his planet of legitimately evil figures, he himself is willing to resort to extreme cruelty and harm of innocent people in order to achieve this goal, and extremely horrific acts as a means of punishing those who act as obstruction.
Threat level: To his planet. He has, however, recently picked up interest in other parts of the universe/multiverse.
Tier: At least 2-A (high multiverse level+), likely 1-C (complex multiverse level); see
here-> for more details.
Competence: High to very high.
Powers: All inherent Kryptonian and Saiyan abilities. Note that despite only being half Saiyan and only half Kryptonian, his powers as both are not diminished in comparison to purebred members of both species. Some powers are not inherent to either race and were acquired through some other means throughout Renaissance Man’s life.
Solar radiation absorption: Comes with being a Kryptonian. His body’s cells absorb yellow solar radiation, and are responsible for much of his powers (note: under a blue sun these powers are amplified even further).
Superhuman strength: The inherent superhuman strength of a Saiyan multiplied by the same amount with which yellow solar radiation exposure multiplies the strength of a Kryptonian. Both his lifting and striking strength have been seen multiple times to be at literally incalculable levels.
- Of special note is Flint's proclivity to bite opponents. Even though his teeth are shaped like a normal human's, his jaw muscles are powerful enough to let him bite through the skin and flesh of even those with enhanced durability, often times biting out a large chunk of flesh and crushing any bones in the way of his jaws. Additionally, Flint uses his powerful neck muscles to literally shake or twist off chunks of flesh from his targets. This unusual penchant for using his mouth in combat has earned him the moniker "the Torvothere".
Superhuman durability/invulnerability: The inherent superhuman durability of a Saiyan multiplied by the same amount with which yellow solar radiation exposure multiplies the durability of a Kryptonian. Although he can still be killed with enough brute force, the amount of brute force necessary to actually dispatch him seems to be incomprehensible and unable to be measured.
Superhuman speed: The inherent superhuman speed of a Saiyan multiplied by the same amount with which yellow solar radiation exposure multiplies the speed of a Kryptonian. Renaissance Man's highest recordable speed has been noted to be many googols of times googolplex times faster than the speed of light (read: (10
googol*light speed)*many googols)). However, he has been seen moving at literally immeasurable speeds.
Flight: Can fly through either the Kryptonian mechanism of flight or through the use of ki like Saiyans. Can use both simultaneously to fly at an increased speed. Renaissance Man has even been known to revolve his tail around so quickly that he is able to fly without either of the two aforementioned mechanisms of flight.
Ki manipulation: Manipulates his body’s ki. This is an extremely significant component of how he fights, where he transforms ki into offensive energy blasts, defensive barriers/forcefields surrounding his body, or even energy constructs (e.g. an energy blade from his hand, an energy bow, etc.). Can fire ki blasts from his hands, feet, mouth, individual fingers, and his eyes (these eye lasers are a separate thing from his heat vision, and used as a contingency if he finds himself drained of his Kryptonian powers); the Explosive Wave technique he can employ involves a tremendous blast of ki emanating from his entire body.
Invisible eye blast: Renaissance Man can fire invisible beams (kiai) from his eyes. These can actually be used to great effect, having used this to literally blow the helmeted heads of his adversaries off or blast holes through their armored torsos. He finds this useful if he wants to be extra subtle in preparing an attack.
Solar flare: Can temporarily blind opponents with an extremely bright flash of light, like a number of the Z Fighters.
Super/arctic breath: Blowing powerful gusts of wind from his lungs out of his mouth. May or may not be at freezing temperatures. Flint has particularly been known to use this to lethal effect, either blowing gusts of wind so powerful he rips the skin off of his victims or freezing them at absolute zero, with their frozen bodies structurally failing and crumbling.
Heat vision: Can fire powerful beams of superheated energy from his eyes. Can further amplify heat vision with ki.
Super flare: Unleashes the solar energy stored in all of his cells to create a powerful solar flare that is far stronger than his normal heat vision. This drains his cells of solar energy and leaves him without his Kryptonian powers for a day.
Multiple forms: Still possesses his tail and can therefore become an Oozaru ten times more powerful than his base form at the sight of a full moon. He has trained enough so that he retains his sentience while in the form and doesn't black out once taken out of it. Renaissance Man also possesses the first three Super Saiyan transformations (Super Saiyan being fifty times base power, Super Saiyan 2 being twice the power of Super Saiyan, and Super Saiyan 3 being four times the power of Super Saiyan 2), but has also achieved
an advanced state of the third transformation-> where he can draw upon the maximum reserves of power of Super Saiyan 3 with no strain on his body or energy (a strain previously withstood by his Kryptonian durability, but now made completely nonexistent). If any of these forms somehow turn out to be insufficient to defeat his enemies, he can turn into a massive dragon. This dragon can be best described as resembling a gigantic
Tyrannosaurus rex with wings around its shoulders, almost axe-shaped talons on its feet, the horns of a white rhinoceros, and small horns over each orbital. He is ten times more massive than he is in his Oozaru form and an unknown (though certainly many) times stronger than he previously was. This is Renaissance Man at absolute full power, and can continue to get more powerful via sun-dipping.
Superhuman stamina: Can function and fight for periods of time without fatigue far beyond what is possible for a human. Inherited from both aspects of his heritage.
Superhuman hearing: Can hear things from far away. He can be on Ealvdiem's moon (as far away from Ealvdiem as our moon is from Earth) and still hear people on his planet.
Superhuman smell: Like his Saiyan ancestors, he has a very keen sense of smell, able to smell objects from distances far greater than what a normal human can.
Superhuman vision: Both telescopic vision (seeing things from an extremely far distance, way farther than possible for a human) and microscopic vision.
Superhuman tactile senses: Can feel the ground for vibrations that came from an extremely far distance away to track someone or something down.
Super vocals: Can amplify his voice to an astonishing degree, having once destroyed an entire mountain with a single powerful shout.
Vocal mimicry: Can mimic the voice of any person and the vocalizations of any animal (he especially has been known to emit a vicious roar in combat).
Additional limbs: Renaissance Man has discovered a technique that allows him to grow additional limbs from his upper body. This is similar to the Four Witches technique.
Replication: Can make up to four clones of himself, similar to the Multi-Form technique. Originally, like the Multi-Form technique, this used to divide his power up by four. After extensive training, however, this is no longer the case.
Self-sustenance: Does not need to eat or drink to survive (although, see his personality traits regarding these above).
Regeneration: By absorbing solar radiation, he has a mid-low or high-low (see explanation
here->) healing factor.
Electromagnetic spectrum vision: The entire electromagnetic spectrum is visible to him, and can perceive things solely based off of patterns of magnetic and electrical energy.
Longevity: Both Saiyans and Kryptonians live longer lifespans for humans, so naturally he would have a long lifespan as well.
X-ray vision: Can see through objects and bodies but is incapable of seeing through lead, like Kryptonians.
Telekinesis: Some degree of it. He might use it to hurl random nearby objects at his foes at faster than light speeds (e.g. boulders, weapons and pieces of armor from dead warriors).
Power level manipulation: Can mask how strong he seems to his opponents to mislead them or avoid detection (growing up Renaissance Man was surprised to find out that, even though the ki he uses is distinct from anything found on Ealvdiem, the people on the planet could still detect it).
Teleportation: Renaissance Man can teleport short ranges like ki users/warriors tend to do, but he can also instantly teleport across great expanses of space with instant transmission.
Psychic shield: Is highly (though seemingly not fully) immune to psychic attacks.
Zenkai boosts: Becomes significantly stronger after healing from an episode that severely damages him.
Environmental resistance: Like Kryptonians and Saiyans, he has the ability to survive in harsh climates (e.g. extreme heat and cold) without any real impairment of bodily function. He can survive indefinitely in a vacuum.
Skills:-
Martial arts mastery: as refinement to his raw power, Renaissance Man possesses unmatched prowess in hundreds of martial arts, making him a highly skilled fighter like both Goku and Superman.
-
Expert hunter/tracker: throughout his life he has hunted animals to use their body parts for practical purposes (e.g. feeding others), and has applied these skills to tracking down his targets.
Equipment:- Renaissance Man has invented numerous high tech weapons and armor that are capable of being used against super-powered entities, distributing them amongst his armed forces. While he himself usually does
not find himself needing to use much weapons (for obvious reasons), he will resort to the use of weaponry if he feels the need has arisen. He himself will use:
- A highly advanced and exceptionally durable suit of full plate armor. This absorbs solar radiation when under a yellow sun, so that when he is ever deprived of his Kryptonian powers under a red sun, he can don this suit of armor so that he can absorb yellow solar radiation that the armor stored. It is packed into a small shiny button on the back of his clothes (at the base of his neck) and expands to cover his body instantaneously when the need arises. Kept with him at all times in case he ends up near a red star.
- A lance. This lance has a shaft made of an unknown material with strength that can accommodate Renaissance Man's sheer strength, with a leaf-shaped point ending in a fine tip. It is long enough to stab pikemen while staying out of reach of the pikes.
- An exceptionally sharp cusped falchion. It seems to have some magical properties, as Renaissance Man can command the falchion to change the length of its hilt from one-handed to two-handed and vice versa when the need arises (similar to Goku's Power Pole). He can also drastically control the weight of the weapon so that it can hit harder and cut deeper when powered by his superhuman strength. It is exceptionally sharp and has an edge that is serrated in a manner similar to the teeth of a carnivorous dinosaur.
- A longsword (same properties as the falchion).
- A halberd (same properties as the falchion). This actually is something he is commonly seen with.
- A highly durable kite shield made of some extremely strong metal. He can also use this as an offensive weapon, either by delivering blunt trauma or stabbing and impaling people with the tapered bottom of the shield.
- An extraordinarily powerful straight-gripped pistol (see here-> for an idea of what it looks like). It fires a projectile made of a special metal powered by a highly advanced and dangerously explosive powder that can actually fully penetrate the bodies of beings or metahumans with superhuman durability. Renaissance Man amplifies the power of the blast by transferring ki from his hand to the powder that propels the bullet. Almost as if as a trade off to the gun's tremendous firepower, it takes as long to load as a real-life wheellock pistol.
Weaknesses:-
Kryptonite: Not naturally present on Ealvdiem, but Renaissance Man retains his Kryptonian ancestors' weakness to kryptonite.
Kryptonite has not been an issue throughout Flint's life on Ealvdiem so far, but the being known as Tooth n' Claw (see the next page for his incomplete profile) has undertaken exhaustive research into Renaissance Man's DNA and discovered his weakness to a specific substance. Using this information, his extreme intellect, and highly advanced technological equipment, Tooth n' Claw has successfully recreated large quantities of kryptonite to use against Renaissance Man. The hybrid places great trust in Tooth n' Claw as one of his former mentors, which leaves him in a vulnerable position to have his weakness exploited.
-
Red solar radiation: Sort of. This will only take away the powers granted to him by Kryptonian physiology; he can still use abilities granted to him by Saiyan physiology, so he remains very powerful. Unlike kryptonite, Renaissance Man has been under a red sun before, and has taken note of the effects it has on his powers. He has fashioned a special suit of plate armor that constantly absorbs yellow solar radiation when not in use (it is condensed into one tiny spot in his clothing and expands to cover his whole body when activated); if under red solar radiation, he can activate this armor so that it transfers stored yellow solar radiation to his body, letting him retain his Kryptonian powers. This can be done as long as he has the armor or until the armor runs out of stored solar radiation.
-
Magic: Sort of. Can just use ki to block it, unless he's low on ki.
-
"Overkill" behavior: His tendency to “overkill” is actually a double-edged sword. While he may make sure that he incapacitates or kills one enemy, this may leave him open to attack by another.
-
Brute force: Like his ancestors, he can be harmed or killed with brute force. However, this would take
literally immeasurable amounts of brute force.
