Is it because of scientific inaccuracy? I'm asking because I'm planning to make a thread about that sort of topic.

Well, the primary issue I take with that is the DIRECTION the inaccuracy went in. I mean yeah, as inaccurate as it is, Indominus Rex is very cool. As is Indoraptor. But T rexes that are kind to Apatosaurus? An eccentric Styracosaurus? And all of them doing super-unrealistic sappy anthrophomorphic things? Nope. THAT's the problem.

So, does that mean you have a problem with Land Before Time, too? I mean, these anthropomorphic talking animals are a staple of children's entertainment.

No, in fact LBT is quite a good movie. The degrees of ridiculousness and sappiness between the 2 movies are NOTHING alike.

They are pretty similar in terms of realism.

Not quite. The Good Dinosaur goes a whole level further with sappy stuff and crazy but not entertaining stuff, like very eccentric dinos, dinosaur farmers, cavemen, etc.

Well it’s a little funny to rate children’s movies with talking dinosaurs on their accuracy, isn’t it?
Isn’t there a threshhold beyond which it’s clear it doesn’t really matter any more? Like once you have talking dinosaurs, does it really matter whether they are farmers, or "eccentric"? Why are talking dinosaurs ok, but talking and farming dinosaurs are a big no-no?
