spinosaurus1 Those must have been my estimates. But keep in mind the Giganotosaurus figure is the most liberal conceivable skull lenght for MUCPv-95 scaled at 108% the size of the holotype. By comparison, my conservative version for the same specimen was only 1.6m, which is still at Coria & Calvo´s 8% bigger than holotype. Its actual skull lenght is a matter of how much of its maxilla is missing. I see both as possible, since the liberal version is not overly elongated. However I´d favour something in the middle. By comparison, restoring Carcharodontosaurus saharicus with a quadrate resembling Acrocanthosaurus gives it a skull lenght of 1.57m, and with a longer quadrate like in Giganotosaurus I got 1.63m (everything else of the skull remaining the same).

this is kinda old and abandoned but..
Giganotosaurus carolinii wins ~54 % of the time due to a probable size advantage against SGM Din 1.

around similar size it is probably 50/50 but because Giganotosaurus is a bit bigger, it would win barely.

^ based off of its closest relatives Carcharodontosaurus saharicus should be a bit smaller than Giganotosaurus carolinii.

and both animals have fairly similar anatomy too, so this fight is actually quite obvious.
