Great thread. I do note that the ostrich and striped hyena in the videos posted earlier in this thread were not killed or harmed at all, merely chased/confronted by the leopard. I don't think a serious predation attempt was even being made in either case, so those two videos are inapposite to the premise of this thread, although still very interesting videos. And I do think a big male leopard could prey on/kill either of those animals, under the right circumstances.

The leopard can be a versatile predator, I will say, if it is capable of attempting to hunt such animals such as these.

Here's a video of a leopard killing a large ostrich, not just chasing it.

Better proof that the largest extant bird can sometimes be killed by one of the more calculating predators of Africa. That ostrich was a unique kill for the leopard.
