I believe polar bears are not true white bears unlike the kemorde bears. Polar bears (especially the older ones) get yellow due to sun oxidation or from oil from seal blubber. Polar bears should be called yellow or creamy bears or green bears during summer (since their fur becomes green due to algae growing inside their translucent tube like fur).
