a couple of video examples of tree monitors using their forelimbs to aid in extracting food when foraging
(btw, I just love emerald and black tree monitors. love the looks on these creatures)

Neat. Given its flexible diet, and very good swimming ability I really am curious as to why the ora's range isn't bigger.

I question that as well. I suspect the usual effects of deforestation since young are predominantly arboreal. the toll could be taking place on them while young

I know in the past that you were skeptical of a monitor lizard's ability to seriously injure other animals with its tail, but now that you have seen it in action, how dangerous do you think a monitor lizard's tail slap is now?

Not very. It seems t be painful and distractg but the mouth is the buisness end.

I didn’t see the dragon causing serious injuries with its tail (any injuries at all for that matter). It’s just a quick deterrance with a wide reach.
