Maybe I should let some others weigh in and if there should be a rule against pitting up two of your own characters.
The main difficulty is the impossibility of arguing against the author, though it's sometimes possible. The creator of Dante and Bayonetta for example disagrees with DeathBattle on the outcome of their match. That's why phrases like "Death of the Author" exist (unfortunately, this rule is difficult to apply to unfinished works, but we can treat it as if it were finished).
Likewise, oldgreengrolar could choose not to participate in the discussion (except to correct mistakes and answer questions) to see what we think.
So, what do others think of Quite Cute vs Vain Glorious?

creature386Can I do a mixed-carnosaur gauntlet? Each round features a different carnosaur and a different opponent, and where the gauntlet stops is where one of the carnosaurs loses a fight

creature386Can I do a mixed-sauropod gauntlet for today? Same principle as the last one

Sure, but this time, you should maybe show the combatants ahead of time since your last gauntlet evoked complaints.

creature386 Ok then. Here goes. NOTE 1: I usually do easier rounds followed by harder rounds in my gauntlets. If anyone do not like my gauntlets then they should ideally not post in them, to prevent this sort of thing from happening. NOTE 2: The size of the involved animals does not necessarily matter in each round. They shall be organized by order of difficulty. NOTE 3: Some sauropods may be used more than once Round 1: Zygolophodon, 16 tons, vs Barosaurus, 60 tons Round 2: Palaeoloxodon namadicus, 22 tons, vs Mamenchisaurus sinocanadorum, 75 tons Round 3: Paraceratherium, 17 tons, vs Mamenchisaurus anyuensis, 25 tons Round 4: Elasmotherium crash of 4, 4 tons each, vs OMNH 1670 Apatosaurus, 46 tons Round 5: Sauroposeidon, 60 tons, vs 6 Daspletosaurus, 2.8 tons each Round 6: Mamenchisaurus hochuanensis, 18 tons, vs Tarbosaurus, 7 tons Round 7: Limaysaurus, 7 tons, vs Bistahieversor, 2.5 tons Round 8: Holotype of Tyrannosaurus, 7.5 tons, vs CM 3018 Apatosaurus, 20 tons Round 9: Styracosaurus, 3 tons, vs Limaysaurus, 7 tons Round 10: Triceratops, 12 tons, vs Mamenchisaurus hochuanensis, 18 tons

Not sure about rounds 1 and 5, they seem like mismatches. Round 1 is excusable due to being the first, but round 5 seems too easy (adding one or two Daspletosauruses shouldn't do much harm). The rest is fine.

Added.
Hopefully this can help prevent gauntlet complaints.

Yeah, show the combatants first.
By the way, do you have any opinion on the question I posed above (whether we should allow two characters invented by a member on this forum to be pitted against each other)?

I see absolutely no reason why not. Oldgreengrolar makes plenty of good characters too; a matchup should be interesting

That's a good gauntlet. It even maintains a sense of difficulty throughout. Approved. DonaldCengXiongAzumaQuite Cute vs Vain Glorious is approved now, too. Even if the thread should somehow fail, we could at least learn from it.

I just want a fight with Brie Larson as Captain Marvel. Callsign: Avenger(MCU) or Cheeseburger(comics). US Airforce pilot.

Approval or not, the thread with the 300 Thanators seems to be too much of a mismatch. They're just alien animals after all. Maybe we can find something better.
