Most people probably don't care, but I find it incredibly frustrating that they changed the comment section. There is no more scrolling down to see the top comment which would usually be funnier than the video, now its a Google+/twitter-esque Facebook feed cluster****. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS CRAP? I know it probably doesn't effect most of you guys, and I personally have never cared much about the Google-fication of YouTube either, but now they just ruined everything.

The comment section was half the reason to why YouTube is so popular, now they ruined that too. Google claim that they want to "improve" the comments, which includes;
1. You now absolutely need Google+ to even post a comment on YouTube, which is stupid. Google+ failed by itself, so they ruin YouTube with it. 2. More "important" comments from important people automatically float to the top. This includes public figures and people with lots of subscribers. 3. Default setting is top comments rather than newest first, meaning that most people wont see your comments even when you post. 4. Basically, half the top comments are twitter-like feeds where popular people hashtag a bunch of crap.
My answer is: Who gives a **** about how bad the YouTube discussions were? Bad, funny, and stupid comments is what made YouTube the most awesome site in the world.
Also, you can't reply or like any of the comments that were made before this upgrade. That's 8 years of YouTube's history gone down the toilet.
Google is pushing their failure of a social network down our throats, it's embarrassing, really.
Rant over.

Tell me about it. Youtube's ruined now. I mean the comment section is a utter mess. What's up with that?
They're obviously doing this for money.....

New YT is damn uncomfortable. This is ironic to saying YT is getting easier or it's just me.

The only things I find positive is that comments can be as long as you want and that you can post links. However, this is not much of an advantage, when nobody will see your comments and it sucks that you can't rate/reply to old comments!

Every time they make some change it gets more annoying. Cannot they simply leave it as it is? It was good 1-2 years ago, it looked good, it worked well.
Shortly I was basically forced to "connect" my youtube channel to your google+ account, whatever that was supposed to change, to get my profile image back. Every time they change the channel-layouts, I have to do some readjustment. Some time ago I couldn't post comments any more because youtube was (intentionally) allergic to my download-addon, forcing me to disable it... And now this s***?!
I mean, its great to be able to post links and not to be limited to the pathetic 500-characters, but couldn't they have just done the good stuff and left out the rest?

In my opinion YT has sucked since 2012, when they changed the design of the channels. No one was against old layout, but imbeciles were so f**king bored and firetrucked it.

They need to force people to make a Google+ account, to make the (quite small) Google+ community grow, because they want it to become a major social network.

Still google+ with youtube is like mixing mayonnaise with milk. I did not support their. I share your opinion, they should accept that their social network was unsuccessful.

I think the people at google should be content with what they have, not try to expand by force. They already have the most popular search engine, and video platform, and mobile operating system...
I have no problem with google+, I didn't even really notice that it suddenly appeared (neither do I use it for much), but what's the point in making annoying changes to youtube's functionality?

I don't have a problem either (actually, it's a great alternative to facebook IMO), it's just annoying how we are forced to use it.
