With the new Spinosaurus material, we all knew someone would create this one just for the sake of it. Credit goes to Dragonthunders (he posted this on a Discord server I'm on).

Size comparison drawn by Mauricio Antón. From front to back: grey wolf, Hyainailurus sulzeri, and Amphicyon giganteus. Antón (2003)A different, higher definition version with a spotted hyena replacing the wolf. This time H. sulzeri is behind A. giganteus. Turner & Antón (2006)

Yup neotype and MSNM-v-4047 Any mass estimates for MSNM with the new skeletal? I'd assume the tail would add some weight to the already accepted figure of 7.5 tonnes.

We do not know for sure because the ibrahim study was a bit strange in some regards and some issues need looking at first. Everyone on the discord discussed it a lot though obliviously most have stated that not much has really changed since the last GDI made by Fran. Spinosaurus has lost a tiny bit of its tail length but makes up for that with getting some mass added .The new tail while looking really big and fat does not actually add a whole lot of mass. The new tail spines do not add a on of muscle or anything because it was mostly just a large fin structure. The new tail added is thinner than the older tail used on the 2014 version of the animal well that is what is being said on the discord and they know a lot more regarding this stuff than i do.
So right now its around 3.42 tons for FSCAC the neotype and this then puts the big boi specimen MSNM-v-4047 at around 7.8 tons if we use the new 14.4 meter length but some have stated 7.3 to 7.5 tons is also okay to use and a higher estimate was with 8.2 so if we use that one its in the same kind of range of lower modern estimates for Sue while some outside the discord are using the Ibrahim study to get much heavier estimates. So its a big mess at the moment but thankfully Fran has returned to the discord after like a year long absence and is really active now so hopefully we will be getting some updates on it all. He has said he needs to update quite a lot of his stuff so i guess we just need to wait and see what we get.

Is there any recent info about the highland giant? I like the idea of a giant bipedal proto sauropod but I can't find any recent info about it and I have a feeling that its another major case of a fragmentary animal's size being exaggerated.

The Highland Giant is something else entirely from the giant bipedal basal sauropodomorph. The Highland Giant is Ledumahadi mafube, which was a quadruped. There's been some confusion that "Highland Giant" referred to this giant biped. www.deviantart.com/carnoferox/journal/The-Highland-Giant-is-Ledumahadi-767642524
