zergthe shared this on Discord. A gorilla scaled to the largest recorded gorilla next to Smilodon populator (by the wonderful Jun's Anatomy). You can see just how muscular the cat is.

Skull of Udanoceratops with human for scale. Just so you guys know, the mandible's depth is comparable to the total length of a dire wolf's skull. © @ Batavotyrannus. Oh, and in case you're wondering what the whole animal would look like, see Henry Sharpe's reconstruction->.

GetAwayTrike recently made a size comparison between Ulughbegsaurus (left) and Timurlengia (right) ( link). [snip] There are some ridiculous sensationalist news articles claiming this animal to be "bigger than T. rex" or "more dangerous than T. rex". One even says it was 5 times larger than T. rex ( link)! ( link).

Great white shark estimated at over 17 feet long compared to humpback (I think) whale carcass. this is a pretty good image to show how great whites tend to bulk up substantially when they reach above average adult length.

An adult female American mastodon (over 2 meters tall), a juvenile mastodon (over 1.5 meters tall), and a Smilodon fatalis about 1 meter tall. Dashed line is the approximate maximal reach of Smilodon. An adult female Columbian mammoth (over 3 meters tall), a juvenile approaching 2 meters, a smaller juvenile at ~1.5 meters, and a Homotherium serum at ~1 meter. Dashed line is the approximate maximal reach of Homotherium. Both are screen captures from The Other Saber-tooths ( link).
