Well, it's not as if we didn't know the phenomenon and its reason.

Seeing as the Shire is domesticated and has no predatory experience, the lion should win. HOWEVER, if the Shire horse had predator experience, I would say this would be a mismatch

i think the lion would win , although it does not weigh as much or is not as big , lions are apex predators that are adapted to taking down animals much larger then themselves. in the past lions have beaten animals larger and more powerful then themselves like polar bears , of course this was not the majoirty and the bear won most of the time but still it was able to win a few times out of 10.

I believe we went over why these aren't necessarily the most accurate representations of predation feats in the gauntlet section. That being said, I favor the lion as well, but only about 6/10

Posting footage of lions taking down buffalos doesn't show the typical picture. Just like this video of one wildebeest fighting off 2 lionesses from a downed( !)position..If one judged solely by it, it would be assumed wildebeest easily dominates lions in 1v1 situations.

Thanks sam1! Much appreciated! I agree with you 100 percent on that; as was discussed not only here but in many other threads like gauntlets, taking down 1 kind of prey does not mean another can be killed

That said, I'm on the fence about this one. If I had to, I'd say it depends on the individuals before anything else.

If so, that means decisive lion victory
