If that is its actual jaw and teeth than I am definitely going with the tiger. Its body also looks to be more rigid in its movements, more hyenna or badger or wolverine like. So the agility as well as the weapons would be on the side of the tiger. What teeth? And its postcranium is not known either…

They didn't find the teeth. Just the maxilla.
Personally, I kind of like matches with not very well known animals, it's a way for them to get at least some attention. But, there are obvious problems.

Yes, but mostly, such threads are mostly about the size of the fragmentary animal.
