Was there really a scientific paper written about Godzilla??? REALLY!?!?!?
A literary paper is understandable (as Godzilla is a piece of literature), but a scientific one!?
Godzilla's size in 2014 was not meant to be consistent with that of the previous incarnations. In fact, it is a completely different continuation

The paper appears to be a joke, read it and you'll see why.

We all put effort into things for our own joy at some point of our early teen days (he was 13 at that moment).

Looks sort of sick. Every other tooth seems to be missing (it has giant spacing between the teet, which no carcharodontosaur would have, and the dentary tooth count is just 9–even T. rex has way more). Can dinosaurs get scurvy? Also, pronated (even those that could pronate their hands, which are not carnosaurs, couldn’t do that!) and ridiculously long lower arms.
On the positive side, at least there are some quills on the arms, but the dorsum seems to be taken straight from a crocodile. We’ll see whether it looks good in the movie. Like this I’m not convinced, but judging by the terrible quality of the pterosaur models this isn’t the final version.

I think scientifically reviewing a fiction hybrid dinosaur is quite irrelevant.
People should be rather happy it still looks like a big theropod, albeit rather strange but not ridiculous at all.
My guess is that the small number of teeth and the shape of the lower jaw is snake DNA based (if they really used it).
More information will come about the genesis of that beast anyway.
Expectations : terrifying, more monstrous figure than the "real" dinosaurs in the park. But not overshadowing the others stars of the movie.
As fearsome it is announced to be, I think Indominus, as man-made artificial antagonist dinosaur, will be eventually killed by another dinosaur(s) at the climax.

I’d sort of like it if it was a sauropod to kill it…

I dont think so, rumors tell about successive attacks from the others predators or the Mosasaurus.
What is sure is that Horner said several times the creature is very frightening.

I realize it probably won’t happen, what I wrote was that it would be a good idea.

Yes many fans expect some action with herbivorous dinos. They are quite underused.
With the amount of carnivorous dinos in the movie, I doubt herbivorous will have the occasion to be featured in some action scenes.
The predators include I.rex, T. rex, raptors, Mosasaurus, Pteranodon, Dimorphodon. Possibly others.

Yes many fans expect some action with herbivorous dinos. They are quite underused. Understandable. JP didn't even have these absolutely iconic herbivore vs carnivore battles, like Tyrannosaurus vs Triceratops.

It didn’t have a single herbivore-predator fight, now that I’m thinking about it. The only thing was the T. rex chasing the Gallimimus flock in the first movie. Unless you are one of those extremist veggies who think humans are herbivores. I wonder what genetic alteration people will come up with to explain that these predators are much more busy killing each other (but mind you, without actually eating), or chasing after such poor nutrition as humans, instead of securing proper prey.
But one cannot be criticised for at least hoping that it’s going to be different this time, after all many people have their hopes up about this film.
