Just a small, morbid game I thought up of.
Assuming a bunch of smaller animals could effectively work together to take down a much larger animal, how many do you think it would take?
I'll go first since I kind of have to:
How many brown rats would it take to kill a typical domestic house cat?

Depending on the kind of rat I'd say no more than ten.

I'd say 12-15 rats would get the job done. My match-up is; how many Bobcats are required to mob a male Amur Tiger. Bobcat-35lbs, Tiger-500lbs.

You'd probably need A LOT of bobcats to successfully complete that task (a tiger can simply swat the felines like flies), likely more than is required for roughly equal weights. I could be way off or overrating and/or underrating either animals, but I'd say at least 30 (I don't think I'm gonna be good at this game)?
How many cheetahs will be needed to kill a male African lion?

6+  I've seen vids of lone lions bullying 3 male cheetah, and killing one that stood it's ground. |

Nice to see my topic has taken off somewhat now that I am back.
More like at least ten if you ask me. Lionesses are known to hold their own against five hyenas in serious confrontations, and I think most of us agree that a spotted hyena is far more formidable than a cheetah.
How many velociraptors for a utahraptor?

The cave hyena's oftenly quoted size is exaggerated, I'd say ~7-10?
How many cape buffalo will be needed to kill a steppe mammoth?

I thought of a scenario of my own and thought of this thread, so I'm gonna answer the above with ~50-60-ish? I have no real idea...
How many Spartan hoplites (H. s. sapiens) would it take to kill a grizzly bear (one around the size of a lion or tiger)?
