The fossil remains of this animal were found in the Pekin Formation. The whole animal was estimated to have been about ~3 meters in length, although the holotype specimen was immature at the time of death. In life, it would have been part of the "top-tier predator guild" in its ecosystem. [1]References:[1] Zanno, L.E.; Drymala, S.; Nesbitt, S.J.; Scheider, V.P. (2015).
