Liaoningosaurus would definitely win this fight with its armor and tail easily trouncing the piranha.

I lean towards it as well - the armor is good protection. Though the piranha probably stands a better chance than the cookiecutter shark, as their bites are better at bone damage.

Pirahnas have good bite force, but they aren't really fast swimmers and they are inflexible. I've heard of cichlids killing them. I'd go for the fish-killer.
I'd actually use something like hydrocynus vittatus or a wolffish

Depends upon this ankylosaurs' growth rate - it is a juvenile, but we have no way of knowing how much more it would grow - could be anywhere from less than 1 kg more to several hundred kg more.
Although, at parity, a tiger/wolffish or a predatory cichlid would be a good fight.

Probably would favor the ankylosaur there at parity; good armor protection and a nasty bite

and stamina really isn't on the ankylosaur's side

Dinosaurs in general are thought to have had very good stamina due to advanced respiration, and Liaoningosaurus would be more armored than a turtle - thicker, less rigid, and not in such a way that one bite would shatter it like turtle shells. The superior durability and similar weapons lean me to the dino.

THey're just rather inoffensive.
