The only known species of hyena from North America has the advantage with its crushing jaws, and the fact that the whole clan has a higher combined weight than the scimitar and a numerical advantage.

I say the hyenas win this too. They have quite strong jaws, speed, and stamina, and can mob and tire the scimitar to win.

It also helps that while their teeth may not be as long, they have the jaw power to make up for it.
