The popularity of the Walking with... series, coupled with its various glaring errors in the present day, have all made the concept of remaking the Walking with... series something of a neat little fanfic idea. TV Tropes has even made a page about it. tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Fanfic/WalkingWithDinosaurFanRemakesSo how would you remake the series if you had the chance? What animals would you feature? Would they have some of the same species or different ones?

Upper Triassic of Germany, jokes aside, I used to daydream about having my own dinosaur documentary as a kid. Exactly what animals each episode would center around varied from time to time. The below is vaguely based on a series of YouTube presentations I've uploaded. -Episode 1: Upper Triassic of Europe (that one's already on this forum!) -Episode 2: Lower Jurassic of South Africa -Episode 3: Upper Jurassic of Tanzania -Episode 4: Lower Cretaceous of China -Episode 5: Mid Cretaceous of North Africa -Episode 6: Late Cretaceous of North America
I should probably ditch the last idea, due to how cliché it is, but I can't think of a good replacement atm.
EDIT: Just saw that this was about the entire "Walking eith…" series, not just WWD. Well, I guess I can still post my other ideas later.

I had an idea of remaking the penultimate episode of WWB (the one with the sabertooths).
It still centers on Smilodon (I know, how cliché), but on S. fatalis instead of S. populator. The main plot would center on a lone male that has just become an adult, but has been unable to establish a territory and a group (with females to mate with), so he wanders to the point where he actually makes his way to South America* (since we now know that S. fatalis reached that continent, despite the presence of S. populator). Now in addition to establishing a territory and a group (with resident S. populator?), he must also now cope with a new environment.
*Then again, I'm not sure whether or not a North American Smilodon would realistically travel down to South America within its lifetime. Maybe it might be better if he were part of a family already traveling down south, and he goes further down to establish a territory.
