Here are 8 animals from eight completely different families. Every animal is within the same weight range. Rules: 1.) Each species weighs approximately 470 kg (1,030 lbs). 2.) Battle occurs on a small abandoned island. 3.) Each is willing to fight to the death. 4.) The animals have enough intelligence to recognize foes from teammates. 4.) The team with the last animal standing wins! Contenders; Team 1
Ngandong Tiger
Utahraptor
Hyaenodon Gigas
Jefferson's Ground Sloth
Team 2
Kodiak Bear
BoarCroc
Amphicyon
Gigantopithecus blacki

I would say that;
Hyaenodon vs Amphicyon = 50/50 Ngandong Tiger vs Kodiak Bear = 55/45 Tiger Utahraptor vs Boarcroc = 50/50 Sloth vs Gigantopithecus = 80/20 Sloth
Slight edge to Team 1 overall IMO.

Ngandong Tiger vs. Kodiak Bear: Tiger. Utahraptor vs. Kaprosuchus: Depends if the claws can penetrate armor. From their sheer size, I have the feeling they just might, but I'm not sure. Hyaenodon vs. Amphicyon: 50/50. Megalonyx vs. Gigantopithecus: Megalonyx.

Team one has the skills that pay the bills. They win 65/35.

Hyaenodon vs Amphicyon = Amphicyon Ngandong Tiger vs Kodiak Bear = Kodiak Bear (Nothing I've seen suggest the tiger was any different in build from say a bengal or siberian) Utahraptor vs Boarcroc = Utahraptor Sloth vs Gigantopithecus = Sloth
Sloth vs Amphicyon = Amhicyon Utahraptor vs Kodiak Bear = Utahraptor
Utahraptor vs Amphicyon = Utahraptor
Team 1 wins

Siberian Tigers are 195 cm long and weigh 185 kg. Bengal Tigers are 190 cm long and weigh 200 kg average.
Using the cube law, if Siberian Tigers were as long as Bengal Tigers, they would be 171 kg on average. That's 377 lbs - as opposed to 441 lbs for Bengal Tigers.
Quite a difference in robusty.

Cept weight doesn't equal robusticity.

Team 1 should win, they've got better weaponry and can probably kill Team 2 's best fighters relatively quickly
