Today, I just bought a fossil from an antique shop. It resembled a tadpole shrimp except that it was around the size of a horseshoe crab. This fossil had a long sort of slender shell and a short tail like a tadpole shrimp. I'm hoping that one of you could identify it. Right now I could not take a picture of the fossil but I will very soon.

Sure, let's see it once you have the time. Crustaceans are out of my semblance of a field of expertise, though.

I can’t see it at the moment. I'll usually just email the photo to myself from my mobile phone, download the image, put it in my desktop, and then upload it to an image hosting site like Tinypic. Then you can just upload it to a forum from there. Attachments:

To me that looks more like an oyster shell, or possibly part of a rudist, but I really can’t tell for sure from that photo. What about it reminds you of a tadpole shrimp?

Well, the front of it looks like a shell that's sort of elongated and the back of it looks like a tail. Well, maybe you can't really see the depth from that picture. I'll put more pictures tomorrow.

Still looks a lot like a bivalve shell to me, the left part I looks like the pearly interior, the right part (what you think is a tail) looks a bit weird, but not like an arthropod tail, and some ostreids and rudists do have pretty weird shapes. Any other opinions? Did it come with any information on the locality where it was collected?

But, i bought it in Solo, Central Java.
