It could think that's another cat. I think to really test if it can recognise itself in the mirror, we'd need to do the standard mirror test of putting a dot or anything like that on its body and it noticing that something is off by touching that spot.

^I agree. Most likely, I think it's just surprised that the 'other cat' is doing everything it's doing at the exact same time
