I'm pretty sure this is a mismatch in favor of the hyena.

How does Pachyrhinosaurus vs Megacerops sound?

Sounds fair enough.

Here are some matches that I'm not sure are fair or not: Diplodocus Carnegii vs Tyrannosaurus rex Titanoboa Cerrejonensis vs arctotherium angustidens Paraceratherium Bugtiense vs siats Meekerorum or saurophaganax Maximus or acrocanthosaurus atokensis Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus vs diplodocus Carnegii Livyatan Melville vs 5 deinosuchus hatcheri African Bush elephant vs saurophaganax Maximus Spinosaurus Aegyptiacus vs siats Meekerorum (or saurophaganax Maximus) Paraceratherium Bugtiense vs acrocanthosaurus atokensis

Yeah, I honestly think this is okay. One is a better fighter relative to size, while the other is bigger. I've seen it being the subject of debate before, so I think this is okay. If no one has already made the thread, create it. If it has been, you can post in it. I think this might be fine. Paraceratherium bugtiense seems to be the smallest species of Paraceratherium, at least according to this skeletal maker->. It would be roughly the weight of these theropods, so it might be seen as unfair weaponry-wise. Although, this skeletal is my only source for this, so take it for what you will. Doubting that's a good matchup, since the sauropod is significantly bigger and can certainly kill it. Maybe. Question is just how much 5 crocs will cooperate to take this larger opponent down (I know there's evidence of cooperative hunting in crocs, I'm just a little hesitant). Given how we've let matchups with multiple crocs vs a larger opponent slide before, I feel like we might as well ( creature386 what's your opinion?). Yeah, you can go ahead with this. Proboscidean vs theropod even at similar sizes has been substantially debated. Now, if I choose to post, expect me to strongly favor the theropod, but technically that's just me. Might be seen as unfair weaponry-wise, if Saurophaganax is similar in size to Spinosaurus (which it seems it very well could be).

Is the biggest species of paraceratherium against the theropods I mentioned fair?

Assuming the biggest Paraceratherium transouralicum could indeed weigh up to 17 tonnes (although this itself is not a solid estimate), then honestly, I don’t 100% know. I personally say that because between the indricothere’s size but lack of virtually any real weaponry vs a 6+ tonne theropod’s weaponry, I’m not entirely sure.
So since I’m personally not sure and it’s been subject to debate before (from my experience), I think it’s fine.

Given how we've let matchups with multiple crocs vs a larger opponent slide before, I feel like we might as well ( creature386 what's your opinion?). Difficult for me to decide. We normally don't require evidence of cooperative behavior in coalition matchups (we'll just assume it's a disadvantage for them if they can't cooperate). The matchup does feel a bit one-sided in Livy's favor, going by my first impression, but I could at least imagine someone making a case for the crocs (after all, many people also backed an orca pod over Livy, even if few did on this site). I'd say if poseidon feels ready to make a case for the crocs should no-one else do, I'm fine with this, even if I recommend doing the other good matches first.

Would you guys consider columbian mammoth vs spinosaurus Aegyptiacus fair?

Well, I'm not sure I'd call that fair, but then again we still have threads like Tyrannosaurus vs Spinosaurus that we'd allow anyone to post in at any time, even though many would argue that such a matchup isn't fair. So I think I could allow Columbian mammoth vs Spinosaurus, if only to be consistent in what kinds of threads we have/allow (or maybe for informative/demonstrative purposes).

I suspect one might have a size advantage over the other in both of these (Titanoboa against Rhizodus and Basilosaurus against Tylosaurus), but I'm not entirely sure. So I'll approve these (and if it turns out that they are, in fact, one-sided in the future, it's not the end of the world).
Approved.
Same as with the first two. I'll approve.
I'll approve.
These sauropods seem to be somewhat smaller than current estimates for P. namadicus. Ankylosaurus is definitely much smaller. Might I suggest using either a smaller species of Palaeoloxodon (like P. recki or P. antiquus, which are closer in size to the sauropods) or a bigger sauropod (like Apatosaurus louisae)?

I agree. They are similarly-sized and it's an interesting theme to pit a Carboniferous animal against one from the quasi-Carboniferous ecosystem that was the European Triassic.
