That depends. Which bear species? Or is this in general?

Which region? Diet varies from place to place, so I'd guess it depends on locality

Again, REGION. There's a region inland grizzly bears don't eat much salmon, while coastal grizzlies DO. Which regions are you talking about?

Brown bears are generally more predatory than black bears. Exceptionally large male black bears are more predatory and bolder than the average black bear but they are still nowhere near as predatory as the plastocene grizzlies.

I'd say the coastal bears tend to be more carnivorous, eating things like clams, carrion, and the aforementioned salmon, of course. Inland grizzlies, on the other hand, eat berries, roots, and carrion (things along those lines). More omnivorous than their coastal counterparts

From what I know, pandas are herbivores and polar bears are carnivores, while all other bear species practice omnivory to varying degrees, so I'd say that evens out to omnivorous overall
