Just wondering how many lions are capable of taking down a 2200 pound cave bear?

Assuming the 235 kg cave lion, I think you would need 5 of them, as that's the number that outweighs the bear. Even then, it would not be easy

5 should be enough to get the job done , however they would not go after one in nature because the risk is too high and they would likley get fatal injuries from the bears claws.

Agreed with you. However, the lions might hesitate to attack the cave bear as it is risky business. A cape bear is about the same weight as a cape buffalo but with more flexible forearms that even reach a lion on its back. The lions can win but are they willing to risk any of their pride members?
