^I believe they do. They need to digest plants AND meat, which they can't do with a carnivorous digestive system

We've only got that to digest plants alongside meat i agree also as i preivosuly stated bears who are omnivores have longer intestines than us so yeah omnivores can have long intestines for digesting plants as well.

I believe it would make sense for omnivores to have a longer digestive system than carnivores to process plant material.

Well, omnivores have less pressure on digesting cellulose or fiber than herbivores do. It would make the most sense for them to be intermediate.
