The bears clears it, I doubt a human with a knife can kill a 900 pound bear. Bears don't feel pain the same way we do. Before human steller's arrived with guns, bears proved difficult to kill.

I'd say the bear clears it as well, but the hippo and knifeman would not be easy

But I think the bear has the size to win 7/10

But I think the bear has the size to win 7/10 he would be hard to kill but i still think he wins 9.9/10 times as he is larger , has sharp claws and better armor

What might be some of your reasons?

What might be some of your reasons? pygmy hippos are small and not all that strong i think even a lion can take out a pygmy hippo In spite of its small size, it would be hard to kill due to very thick hide and being sturdy and low to the ground. I think it has some chance, but the bear wins more often
