My main question is, even if Manny has added intelligence, how can that help him win? Curved tusks aren't exactly the best weapons and tools are not allowed

He could lure the Triceratops in a trap under some circumstances. It won't work in all possible scenarios, but in some. Due to its physiological advantages and better head protection, the Triceratops is probably indeed going to win more often than not.

Well this was supposed to be on neutral terrain, so the trap would only work if he could make one fast enough in the battle. But yeah, I see how extra intelligence would work here

It's not a matter of whether they are tusks or not. It's a matter of damage dealing potential, and the ceratopsian's sharp, straight horns are much better at dealing lethal damage

No, both have equal damage potential. Curvature is not a weakness. Deal with it.

Curvature is not a weakness. Deal with it. How? Curved tusks cannot gore or puncture; at best they can cause a little blunt trauma
