Well, it was just a parody of 2 of the most popular prehistoric movies. Plus this match is a classic. Anyhow, I agree Trike should win here

I'll try to not comment any further than this (seeing as how I either don't know or don't remember that many of the two combatants' feats), but I remember Manny saying once that he actually weighs 11 tons (see his final fight with Captain Gutt in Ice Age: Continental Drift). Even in Ice Age: The Meltdown Sid refers to Manny as a 10 ton mammoth ( quotations from the film). Of course, real woolly mammoths didn't weigh this much, at least not on average (particularly large bulls could conceivably have achieved such sizes, given how bush elephants which weigh the same on average can do so), but you know, artistic license.

Logically the triceratops should win given its better protection. I like Manny the mammoth too.

Yeah, Manny is still pretty neat I suppose

I like that he starts as a bit of a jerk but grows to care about his friends and risks his life for them. He lost one family; He won’t lose another.

You know what, that's rather true! And I agree. Makes for a very interesting plot across the series

I only see Ice Age as a trilogy and disavow Fallen Kingdom. Yeah, I’m a bad fan. Fight me.

Oh don't worry. I am not who you need to worry about.
Beware the excessively anal fans of trilogies and film series. There's no getting out of an argument with them unscathed

I like big franchises; More puzzle pieces that way! That or I'm a history major. Anyway, this is getting off topic; This is a tied match thanks to the strength of the Triceratops and Manny's greater intellect due to being a talking animal.

This is a good opportunity to discuss why intelligence in a fight is not necessarily a good thing; unless you plan exactly what you need beforehand, too much time spent thinking can be a downfall

Unless this is a character flaw of Manny, I don't think spending too much time on thinking should be considered a weakness. I did not watch Ice Age, but do we have examples of Manny using his intellect to solve problems or demonstrating what can be called "quick thinking"? This can help to gauge to which extent it is an advantage.

This can help to gauge to which extent it is an advantage. It's been a while since I watched an Ice Age movie, but in the fourth film he's fighting Captain Gutt on the "ship" (a huge traveling iceberg). When Gutt grabs a huge log and corners Manny on the edge of the ship, Manny quickly thinks of a way to defeat Gutt. He jumps down onto a lower ledge on the iceberg, using his massive weight to fling Gutt off of it. Then he uses a log to strike Gutt while he's midair, sending him flying a very far distance. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbJOKyrZb8kEdit: also, in the final battle from the first film, Soto is about to finish off Diego, but when the former becomes distracted by the appearance of Sid and the baby, Manny uses that as an opportunity to swat Soto away. Maybe this could also count as quick thinking? www.youtube.com/watch?v=F8fHMiR3bn0
