so recently death battle made a fight between pit from kid icarus and sora from kingdom hearts , first off i wanna say that i do not disagree with the results of the fight , hell i would even say that sora easily beats pit , i just want to say that i disagree with how the fight was made , another words they played sora to be a god and pit to be a loser , lets start off with the first point they made , sora is faster , this is one that i find hard to beileve , pit in super smash bros is able to move as fast as sonic the hedgehog , sora was able to move massivly hypersonic , due to doging a lighting bolt , but pit can move as fast as sonic who was able to outrun a black whole , this atleast makes pit 10X faster , the next point death battle made was that sora had a counter to everyone of pits assults , this i disagree with as pit has attack he can instantly kill sora with and many other crazy abillties they forgot to use in this fight , to be fair they did not include soras final form , but still they downplayed pit by quite a bit , another point for sora winning was that he had higher destructive power , sure sora was able to take on galaxy level threats but so can pit! , pit was able to scale and be even stronger than palutena , palutena can create a black whole , this feat alone should put pit in soras range of power in terms of destructive feats , so just doing basic reserch pit basically outclasses sora in every single stat , but wait i said sora would win?? , i do think he would win but not as easily as screwattack made it , pit would give sora a very hard time however i do think that sora would win due to having a better skill set , let me explain , sora can keep reviving himself with tinker bells magic , can keep healing himself with the keyblade and has multiple elemental summons , he would eventully outlast pit , a fight isnt always about brute power and although pit is more skilled i dont know if he can truly kill sora with brute power alone , anyhow thats my opinion , peace out.
ps:if a mod is reading this , plz do not add this to another thread , i want this to be its own thread , thanks for reading .

Isn't there already a thread dedicated to Death Battle on here? I know rock doesn't want this thread to be merged, I'm just asking.

rockI get you didn't want this to be moved, but DinoMike's thread has no replies and the OP topic is not broad enough to warrant its own thread. Can I merge the threads?

I freely admit I'm only posting those that particularly interest me. I think this takes the cake as my favorite Death Battle ever. I've loved Hulk since I was a child, and Broly is amazing (especially his new canon version). Both are super strong and get stronger as they get angry. But while the Hulk has his share of advantages, Broly had advantages that seemed to matter more, like his flight and long-ranged energy projection. And of course, destructive output.
But what I loved was the battle. Saiyans, especially those from Universe 7, are typically war-like or at least love challenging fights. Humans, which the Hulk technically is, are not inherently like this. Yet here, Broly, a Saiyan, is not the one who instigates the fight. Hulk does. He's the real blood knight in this battle. Broly just wanted peace and only fought because the Hulk provoked him to. And in the end, after all the prodding by the Hulk...Broly won. I know the outcome of the battle is determined by research, but I don't think there could have been a more satisfying ending to this fight.

I already suspected the true outcome of this one, but not in the way I originally suspected. I thought just killing Goku Black once would have been the end of him, but it turns out the Time Ring kept him going until it was destroyed.
What I find most interesting is just how powerful Reverse Flash and some other speedsters are just through sheer superhuman speed granted by the Speed Force. Said speed gives them other very important abilities by extension (e.g. Thawne phasing through other people's bodies and messing up their insides, possessing people, traveling through time, and of course, being a living paradox). Compare this to Goku Black, who not only has superhuman speed, but also superhuman strength, superhuman durability, teleportation (instant transmission), an array of energy attacks (seriously, GB could fire energy from his hands, make energy blades and scythes, and even shot out invisible ki blasts from his eyes in the manga once), and flight. On paper, this matchup sounds like a speedster vs a flying brick with a far more vast array of powers; the latter sounds like he should win. Yet he doesn't. Thawne is just so stupidly fast (much, much, much faster than Goku Black btw, which helped) and has so many other powerful abilities as an extension of his speed that he could easily kill all the GBs coming his way, just as easily as Goku Black could turn all the RFs coming his way into mush. And at the end of the day, what really mattered was the ability to kill the other guy off for good. Goku Black didn't have a means to do that, but Reverse Flash could do it once he figured out he needed to destroy the Time Ring.

Welp, looks like Thor vs Vegeta is next.
Oddly enough, Vegeta’s first and only other appearance on Death Battle was on May 9th, 2011. This next one is coming out on the exact same day.

I lowkey feared this one would happen for a while, but now it's officially confirmed that Frieza vs Megatron will be the next Death Battle. I have mixed feelings about this one because these are two of my favorite villains in all of fiction, but: 1) It's precisely because of that that it's not going to feel completely satisfying seeing the outcome: one of my favorites has to lose for the other to win 2) While I certainly haven't consumed all Transformers media, I really don't know how they're going to make Megatron a match for Frieza. Certainly most versions of Megatron are not nearly powerful enough to match a being who can destroy multiple whole universes at once, not even counting the new Black Frieza form (even Namek Saga Frieza could effortlessly destroy a whole planet with 10x the gravity of Earth's in his weakest form). 3) I'm not sure what alternate mode they're going to give Megatron in the battle, as his alternate mode is never consistent throughout Transformers media. It's possible they'll give him his original Walther P38 form, but I don't believe he's ever been able to fire autonomously in that fire in the G1 continuity. If they do give him that form, he's going to have to go the whole fight in his robot mode (which tbf, he's mostly seen in in the G1 cartoons). But if they're going to do this, I really hope they start the fight out with the Frieza Force and Decepticons duking it out. Maybe in like, space or something. And then we see the real fight between their leaders.

Oh god, they're doing Goku vs Superman again. This time, though, they're using composited versions of both, so both Goku and Superman are definitely going to be different from what they were in their previous two matchups.
I'm still betting on Superman, though, much as it miffs me as a Dragon Ball fan. I'm pretty sure the strongest versions of Superman are stronger than even the strongest video game versions of Goku.
EDIT: So apparently Ben Singer acknowledges that, contrary to the previous two videos, Superman DOES, in fact, have limits, suggesting that the "Superman has no limits" thing is not going to apply to this third version (which he prefers to think of as its own independent thing, not a sequel). Another guy working on the video has corroborated this more explicitly. Still pretty sure Superman's going to win, but it seems to be shaping up to be their best take on the matchup.

I do think Goku might take this, not because I'm super knowledgeable on both of them, but because I can't imagine that they'd revive this match a second time without changing the result. Granted, I can only think of one rematch where the result was different than in the original, but we're speaking of the second rematch here.
