Err.....quite a hot topic we have here. In many places monogamy is illegal and for a good reason: Many bad things can happen to those who partake. I would say in the end, probably a matter of choice, but leaning towards 'avoid'.

Yes monogamy can be very harmful Polygamy (well polyamory, polygamy being illegal pretty much everywhere) can be too though, unless all partners consent and are emotionally mature enough to deal with it.

That was a typing error

If the cave men had more then one partner than design wise this would prove humans are not meant to be married or settle down with one partner

If the cave men had more then one partner than design wise this would prove humans are not meant to be married or settle down with one partner while their is no way to prove this theory , scientists think it makes the most sense seeing how our some of our closest ape relatives live like chimpanzees and gorillas all of which are not monogamous .

I think just because it dominant in many cultures doesn’t mean we are made to do it , smoking and alcohol is dominant in many cultures but doesn’t this mean humans are natural smokers or alcoholics?

Well in the end polygamy is a personal choice. I say if you want to, then go ahead

Depends on what you mean by "natural". We know of primates consuming fermented fruit (AKA alcohol). www.bbc.co.uk/earth/story/20170222-our-ancestors-were-drinking-alcohol-before-they-were-humanThe thing with drugs is that while we did not evolve to find them healthy, we did definitely evolve to pleasure from their consumption which explains their prevalence. Culture isn't arbitrary if monogamy was not in some way advantageous for us, it wouldn't have become so widespread.

i agree with what leo said , just because humans practice mating with one partner does not mean we are orginally desgined to do so
