Walruses are carnivorous based on their diet alone.

Walruses are carnivorous based on their diet alone. i have heard reports of walruses eating cucumbers in captivity , but they do not eat any vegetation in the wild , so not enough evidance to class them as a omnivore IMO.

Based on diet and dental structure it is safe to say they are carnivores , they don’t have any flat teeth , just sharp teeth , unlike real omnivores like humans or monkeys who have both sharp and flat teeth , and walruses eat no vegetation in the wild , only in captivity , not enough evidence to classify them as a omnivore IMO , but I won’t say they are as obligate as say a cat but they are still carnivores .

Yup, they’re definitely carnivorous. I don’t think there’s much vegetation in their natural habitat that they could even try eating besides algae, lichens, and seaweed.
