Well, what do you mean with "inside job"? Till today they are so many speculations, which are partial ridicolous, like the story with the hologram planes, so it's difficult for me to take the whole thing serious. So if "inside job" means that there is a big conspiracy, I would disagree, because there must be lots of people involved and it would be unlikely that none of them ever talked about it. However, if you say the intelligence "just" tolerated the attack, because they had some hidden agenda, well maybe. But I didn't keep myself busy with the topic, so I can't say something specific.

Well, when on the topic of 911 when people say "inside job" - the "truthers" claim a conspiracy/agenda brought forth by the US government as an excuse for the Bush administration and military to declare war on middle east - a setup... i'm somewhat more inclined to believe al qaeda was responsible for the attack..... again, i'm not all that certain about it, though i am interested in finding the truth and looking for solid arguments that debunk some of the conspiracy crap..

I think it was a wake up call.
But no I don't think it was an "inside job".

While I do accept that the plane hijacking and crashing itself was done by terrorists, I do believe that the government knew more about it than they would like us to think, and they also didn't do everything they could to stop it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=l47D5ISemds

Difficult to respond to, as there are many theories that contradict each other:
-The US tolerated 9/11. Possible, but I'm not sure.
-The Americans trained Bin Laden and his crew. Illogical. I am sure they then would have placed him in a country with which the US have more problems than Afghanistan, like Iran or Iraq.
-The Americans blew up the towers. Proof for this is basically not present (some poor YouTube videos don't count) and it is physically possible for an airplane crash to destroy such a building. 1. The steel doesn't have to melt, it already loses a lot of its stability below its melting temperature. 2. The fact that different skyscrapers survived different airplanes under different conditions is irrelevant.
-There were financial interests behind 9/11. While it is true that Silverstein insured the towers against terrorism, the costs of the now useless plot exceed what he gets from insurance.
