Hey guys , Leo here , I want to tell you about a animal I saved , a possum named hope , I was walking down the street And I found a possum sleeping in the day , in plain sight , I assumed everything was ok , until I went home to my mom and she told me we should go check on her , we did and my mom said she is dehydrated, hungry and weak , we went back home and deciced to call animal rehabilitation centers and we Waited for about a half hour to get anwsers , we finally called one and they told us to not touch the possum head on as it can get startled and attack in fear , but to take a shovel anemic put it in a bin , our neighbor found a bin and we put the possum in a large bin and took it home , we then gave it food like nuts and apricots and fresh water , then we put her in the car and drove to the animal rehabilitation shelter, she woke up and started drinking the water we put in the bin for her and she even ate one of the nuts I put in their for her , she peed along the ride , but we got her their and the people said she will probably be ok and to call back in a week , I hope she will be ok and out of all animals I didn’t expect to get this attached to a possum , but getting to know one they are sweet , loving animals , not angry aggressive scavengers who eat through our garbage . Update: we have very sad news , the animal shelter that took her in anncounced that she died , she has a broken skull and jaw and died in surgery, we hoped she would survive but we tried out best , and at least she is in a better place now ,I feel very sorry for her and I wish she could have survived because she was such a sweet animal , thank you all for caring about her , peaceout

That's a real shame. At least there was a better place, like you said

That's a real shame. At least there was a better place, like you said Yeah , I feel really bad for her and I hoped she would live , but at least she is in a better place and she is finally free of pain and happy , I think it Is a better outcome than her getting killed or eaten by a bigger animal like a raccoon or a pack of seagulls , but still I wish she would have lived and I wish she’s would have been able to be put back in nature.

Well, at least she died a peaceful death, in your hands. You tried to heal her too. Not bad honestly.

It's unfortunate that she died but at least she had a peaceful death (not being torn to shreds by larger Carnivores) and she no longer has to suffer with her injuries. Death is not always a curse, sometimes it's a gift.

Death is not always a curse, sometimes it's a gift. Very good point you have there. Often much better to simply put an end to it rather than maximize suffering
