We intend to keep Animal Profiles ideal for educational/informative purposes. To ensure this, all members are adviced to abide by following rules for posting in any profile:
*If you find any information about an animal posted in its profile to be outdated then simply quote that information with the newer one which have supplanted it in the profile. Example below:

Posting of information obtained from personal communication with an expert is permitted under following conditions:
- Do not debate in any animal profile. The appropriate section for debates is: Nature related Discussions, News, and Queries (Sub-section).*
- When you create an animal profile, please do not quote Wikipedia based information. Reason is that Wikipedia articles get updated frequently and therefore the posted information can get outdated very soon. [Tip: You can check references in Wikipedia articles to obtain information.]
- Start by posting something useful about an animal from any trustworthy source. Afterwards, provide updates about an animal when available.

- If you have contacted an expert through email, provide evidence of your communication in the form of a screenshot. You can censor your email id in the screenshot. [Tip: Use any free image hosting site to host your screenshot].
- If an expert provided you a document, you can share that document as evidence.
- Always mention the name of the expert and date of your communication with him/her. [Example: Expert Name; 01-01-2012]
