What are the bats made of?  A rather trivial and jocular question (although, I guess if I were one of these men, I'd rather have a metal bat than a wooden one). |

both sides will struggle to quickly kill their opponents, but mostly likely the gorilla can inflict enought damage, and survive the blunt trama, so it would win, but badly injuried

they are gonna need a lot more than just bats if they want to beat a silverback gorilla , i think the gorilla takes this one

I think putting this kind of question is little bit inappropriate. This kind of fight could easily but should definitely not happen in real life.
As far as answer. Bat is a dangerous weapon not just because of damage it can inflict but its range. That is something that gorilla would have to overcome. Gorilla is about 10 times stronger than Olympic weight lifter. Now the teeth he has are generally not used but when cornered gorilla will use its teeth as well. the fangs are huge the bite force is good. at 1300 lbs per square inch it is slightly stronger than grizzly bear. however heavy metal bats can do lot of damage. lot would depend on who would have better instincts. That would be the gorilla. and who would have more blood lust. At first that would be humans but while gorillas are not normally that aggressive. An angry gorilla can be very dangerous.
If gorilla would be surrounded from all sides he be in trouble but overall he would usually win. Quicker respond would make up for bats range and damage it can inflict. gorillas have good reach even if they are not holding a stick or a bat. After one man was badly mauled the other two would find it difficult to find courage to continue to fight.
lots would depend on who would attack first. if gorilla would see the threat coming and attack. bats or no bats he would tear men to shreds. If the man would give gorilla couple of hits with the bats at the very beginning of the fight then gorilla could still come back form it but it would be difficult.
if gorilla knows that he is about to be attacked gorilla wins
