The two largest and deadliest pliosaurs of paleo-fiction ready for battle.
Liopleurodon ferox (Walking With Dinosaurs)
From: www.bbcearth.com/walking-with-dinosaurs/modal/liopleurodon/Length: 25 m Weight: 150 t Weapons: Massive jaws (three meters long with 30 cm teeth), amplified senses (its sense of smell was noted to be very strong), weight advantage. While it's speed is not pinned down, it's stated to "effortlessly propel" its massive weight with its three meter long flippers Kronosaurus imperator (Kronos Rising)Length: 24 m Weight: Not stated, but at the very least 115 t when scaling from a 11 m 11 t Kronosaurus; likely more, when accounting for allometry. Weapons: plesiosauria.com/book-review-kronos-rising-by-max-hawthorne/Location: The setting of the third episode of Walking With Dinosaurs. Situation: A gigantic female Kronosaurus has been teleported near the territory of an old bull Liopleurodon and decided to enter it. Starting distance: However long they could reasonably see or smell. Victory conditions: Killing the enemy or driving them out of the territory.

Hmm, the Liopleurodon is faster than I thought. I was originally going to use the superior speed of the Kronosaurus as an argument for it, but then again I don't know if it could rival the Kronosaurus in speed since its speed isn't given.
I guess the Kronosaurus is the more durable of the two (bullet-proof armor; I also think Grey once said Max Hawthorne gave his pliosaur blubber, so a thick layer of that might be helpful too). Also mentioned is its "amplified power of healing". How fast does this thing heal (at first I thought this was an instantaneous healing factor, but then I realized it's still a pliosaur relatively grounded in reality)?

Which one has more baseless media hype backing it up?
In any case I lean towards the Kronosaurus. The weights are most likely about the same, and WWD Liopleurodon, while it is grossly oversized, can only do what the real animal would do. Whereas Kronosaurus is pretty much the Super Eland of the seas. It should win here.

Infinite Blade made a good point about speed. I searched for speed feats for the WWD Liopleuodon and this is the best I've found: youtu.be/rezCswEi6cA?t=17310 m/s (which translates to ~22 mph) if I'm being very, very generous with it. So, yeah, Kronosaurus has the speed advantage nailed. This might be more one-sided than I've thought, but I'm interested in what people like Grey have to say.
