A thread in the purpose to find more about the bite force (and overall potency) in pliosaurs, heavily suspected to have been in the top league ever in terms of powerfully built jaws.
Richard Forrest often suspects the largest could have bitten a small car in half.
McHenry has determined that a subadult Kronosaurus (5 000-6 000 kg) would produce a bite force slightly lower than in Tyrannosaurus in Erickson works, but only taking into account it as a dry skull experiment, likely producing an underestimate, and that the largest known pliosaurs were likely up to three times larger (heavier).
