I feel sorry for the rock python, but also impressed by the snake's formidable showing, as well as the crazy toughness of the honey badger. At the beginning, it's clear the python is winning against the honey badger (would have loved to see how the fight started), and likely would have suffocated and ate it except for the jackals' interference. But that allows the honey badger to get free and that instantaneously turns it from prey to predator, fighting off the jackals and then turning the table and breaking the snake's back at around 1:48 of the video. Huge respect for that badger's mentality.
However, it was incredibly unfair to the snake. It was being attacked by all three animals and was trying to counterattack one of the jackals when the badger came from behind with the killing bite. What seems clear is that however the conflict started, the snake was winning against the extremely formidable honey badger before the jackals interfered (and got nothing but a snarling honey badger as a reward). Truly a crazy video.

Yeah this is another classic piece on the honey badger's legend image. That beast really just don't care! The moment after freeing itself from the crushing death grip the badger doesn't even think about what would be a natural reaction for every other species. Instead of fleeing the badger just goes back at the snake as if nothing has happened. Pretty sure the badger was the initial attacker because the encounter was in the open.
