I'd see the caiman winning, usually crocodilians have much stronger bite forces.

Well, bite force isn't usually an advantage unless both animals have the same jaw mechanics. Not the case here.
I suppose it's understandable to favor either by a bit, but this seems to be a draw to me. Both animals have the weapons to kill each other, and whoever lands the first bite would win.

Dorado is more manueverable, but it's getting outsized unless you use a freak Dorado. Even then the caimans armor would hold up well and one snap from the caiman will kill the Dorado. If Dorado child bite the belly multiple times it wins but it's unlikely. Caiman 8/10 or 7/10

I thought they were both around similar masses? 10-34 vs 22 kg.
Nonetheless, yes, the armor would probably help. Maybe we could have a thread with a smaller caiman species so the dorado has more chance?

Fish are weird, they keep growing no matter what and size depends on food ability and pretty much how long they live. A average Dorado is around 10kg. The one in a million record Dorado is 34 kg. So pretty much 2 different animals

Ah.
A dwarf caiman would be a bit more fair, then.
