I think the size advantage is probably enough for the tosa to be favored too - that would make up for inferior dentition by far.
I wonder what leopard supporters may have to say?

I'd favor a cape leopard against an apbt and most dogos under 90 lbs

cape leopard males can get to 75 lbs so it should be close enough to a 90 lbs dogo

I was referring to 32 vs 40 kg. Nonetheless, the dogo still has a good size advantage. I'd favor the leopard 6/10 at parity as the dogo probably isn't big headed enough to match it, but with the mass advantage it would be of a lot of help.

i think a 32 kg cape leopard has a very good chance against a 40 kg dogo. I'll be very close for sure, but the leopard's mobility and grappling as well as lack of weaponry of the dogo compared to wild canids should give the leopard the win.
Still Leopard 6/10, could def see the dogo take it

I don't know about lack of weaponry as dogos are actually some of the more impressive domestic dogs at parity, but canines often don't have as proportionately big heads as other jaw based predators and probably not enough to win more often than not at parity.
Maybe I could make the thread

I had a size comparison a while back, and it showed that the pit bull had smaller canines than even a coyote half its size. Compared to a wolf or awd, I doubt a dogo will have larger teeth or a higher sagittal crest which dictates bite force

Interesting! That would be helpful for many domestic dog debates

The leopard might be a better grappler and more precise with its jaws, so it could be the winner against the inu if so.

The inu may be too big, although if it wasn't a working inu, It'd probably lose. The inu could probably overpower the leopard regardless given the size difference.
I totally see a leopard winning if its within 30% of the tosa's weight
