Well, I wouldn't consider this a mismatch - apparently featherbacks have a nasty crushing bite similar to tambaqui. That would make short work of a piranha it caught.
I would favor teh piranhas more often than not due to numbers and mobility, but the featherback certainly has a good chance.

Piranhas are vicious, and the combined weight is higher than that of the featherback, so the piranhas win.

Featherbacks are gulpers like bass (which sets them apart from other knifefish) that swallow small to medium sized prey whole. I have stuck my hand into my featherback's tank to hand-feed multiple times and have never sustained a crushing blow. Given the fact that Featherbacks are generally retiring and the Piranhas have the numbers advantage, this IS a mismatch.

Featherback would lose bad tbh no matter what jaws are worse than pirahnas
