One of the most aggressive piranha species. Relatively widespread in the Amazon

One of the largest snakeheads. Can breathe air.

NOTE: This is sympatric in the Everglades because both are invasive there.

I favor the snakehead 1 on 1 as well, it's much larger and certainly has sufficient weapons to take on a much smaller piranha.
2 however, I favor the piranhas. Numbers, jaws, and mobbing - they can both attack and do serious damage

The redeye is not found in florida anymore, it was extirpated in 1985. This is before the snakeheads arrived as invasives in the US, let alone florida. They were never sympatric.
