One of the largest predatory dinosaurs. Had teeth like a shark's, hence the name.

I think the more agile theropod will win on land. Hippos can get dehydrated quickly if they stay out of the water for too long. Lions use that as a catalyst to take them down. The hippo has very strong jaws and if the theropod can stay away from the head, it will win.

I agree; Carcharodontosaurus wins this on land. More agile and better stamina.

I might make a size comp for this.

Carcharodontosaurus is barely heavier, but much taller and with sharper teeth, the hippopotamus probably won't win the fight.
